New hat!

Good news! I've finished a new hat and I've got my motivation back! I made the hat so it doesn't go over your ears and I sewed a swatch of green crocheted fabric on the side. It looks AWESOME! I used one strand of red heart super saver red yarn. It is separated and airy, so it is a good fall hat. More bulky yarns or multiple strands would be good for a winter hat. The green patch is green red heart super saver, slip stitch crochet. You are supposed to wear the hat so the patch is on the right side. It looks like it is on the left because it got flipped in the picture. If you would like a hat like this, email a request to haleycharms@gmail.com ! Keep on crafting!

p.s. haha, see what i did there ? I made my signature red and green just like the hat!

Knit1, Purl2

WOOHOO! I successfully taught myself the purl stitch through Youtube videos! I took a knitting class in school but never quite understood the purl! I learned in the middle of a scarf, so i went from just knitting to stockinette (knit 1 row purl 1 row) so my scarf may be uneven and such, but it'll look cool. I will post pics when I'm done!

This dishcloth features a scratchy scrubby bobbled center for tough messes, and soft cotton for more delicate surfaces. Watch for the turns – there are only a couple, but they’re important!
  • Yarns:
    • Tough acrylic worsted weight – 1 color, just a few yards
    • Kitchen cotton worsted weight – 1 to 4 colors, just a few dozen yards of each.
  • Hook: US-H, 5.0mm
Unique Stitch Used:
dc5tog: double crochet 5 together, or bobble stitch
CENTER (using acrylic yarn):
